Beyond in the Year of 1987

The year of 1987 could be an important year for the young band of Beyond. Just in this year, Beyond released an extend-play record named Waiting Forever, in which the songs such as The Dance Music in the Past, Water Boy and the title song Waiting Forever later became the popular songs of Disco. In addition, The Dance Music in the Past once has been on the pop roll of the Radio Television Hong Kong and was made into MTV by the television station, which was also the first song of Beyond to be made into MTV. In addition, this record was a natural springboard for Beyond in advancing in the popular music circles.

Although Beyond made a small success in this year, they were still not accepted by the public. Even their dressing was criticized to be not worth a penny. In addition, their original fans criticized that Beyond had abandoned their faith and became commercialized. However, the people who just began to know about Beyond said that they were too fashionable. Even in their first interview, they were laughed at and were given a nickname.

The year of 1987 may be tough for the Beyond, but they still pinned hopes of a successful future on their career of the music.
